Guitar and Fretted Instrument Repair

Our repair person (John Ramsey) is only in the shop Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. You are welcome to drop off an instrument for an estimate on Wednesday or Friday and John will get back to you the next business day.

John Ramsey has been repairing guitars, banjos, mandolins, and ukuleles in Colorado Springs for over 35 years. He'll take the time to show you exactly what's going on with your instrument and explain what your options are for repair. 

Over the years, John has done extensive repair work on top brands like Gibson, Martin, Taylor, Collings, and many more. In addition to repair, he's built dozens of instruments ranging from guitars to mandolins to his current favorite, ukuleles. Whether you just need new strings on your $200 Yamaha or a neck reset on your '42 D-28, we've got you covered.

Restringing

Guitar: $15 + strings
Classical, 12 string, or slothead guitar: $25 + strings

Set Up

A typical set up includes a neck adjust,ment, action adjustment at nut & saddle, tighten tuner screws & nuts, general clean up, and a restring.

Crack Repair (Body)

No finish work: $75 +
